Izza Pops: leading the real and simple ingredient movement in the frozen treat category.
Exhibiting at 2018 Winter Fancy Food Show
Izza Pops, a newly launched food company based in San Francisco, will be bringing its plant-based frozen treats to the 2018 Winter Fancy Food Show. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample their three flavors (Strawberry, Chocolate, and Coconut Vanilla), each made with only six ingredients or less.
Co-founders Alexia Burke and Lisa Cox have had their eyes set on the Winter Fancy Food Show since launching Izza Pops in early September. “We’re so excited to share our pops with the world,” said CEO Alexia Burke, “it’s an honor to be showcasing alongside some of the most innovative brands in the industry.”
Simply-made foods have been growing in popularity in recent years, though the trend has yet to be explored much in the frozen treat space. “Consumers these days are looking for more than just low-calorie alternatives,” said Alexia, “they’re looking for real, whole ingredients - no fake stuff”. The growing demand is perhaps best exemplified by simple-ingredient RxBar’s recent acquisition by Kellogg for $600M.
Along with showcasing samples of their six-ingredient pops, Izza Pops will be revealing its new product packaging. Beginning early 2018, customers will be able to purchase an entire box of Izza Pops in addition to their individually wrapped treats.
Izza Pops are currently sold in 15 locations in the Bay Area and featured as snacks in several local offices. Offices enjoy monthly deliveries of Izza Pops at wholesale cost, giving employees a taste of healthy fun at work. “Izza [Pops] is the highlight of my day”, said Niels Tindbæk, a Segment employee.
Winter Fancy Food Show attendees can visit Izza Pops at Table #26 in the New Brands on the Shelf Pavilion.
The Winter Fancy Food Show, presented by the Specialty Food Association, is a trade only event held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from January 21-23. To register, please visit specialtyfood.com
